I would like to thank yourself and everyone else at The Warwick Apprenticing Charity for allowing me the opportunity to have had a place on Outward Bound this year.
The last three weeks in Aberdovey have been the most enjoyable and challenging three weeks I’ve ever experienced. Through this course I have met so many people all from different cultures and backgrounds. Meeting all of these different people has allowed me to develop my leadership skills which was a key goal for me before the programme. Moreover, I’ve also learnt and developed other skills which will have a lasting impact on me in years to come.
Furthermore, I had the opportunity to try activities that I’ve never tried before such as gorge walking and outside camping. A highlight of my three weeks was when we got to our first camp on the final expedition after a tough day summiting Cader Idris in poor visibility and howling wind. The fact that we were able to navigate in tough conditions and get to camp on time brought a huge sense of achievement and is something I will never forget.
Once again, thank you for funding my Outward Bound programme. It was three weeks that I would recommend to any young adult.
